Job Description:

This Manager role will be part of the sales analytics team and will lead annual budgeting process, variance analysis and special projects for Sephora US. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to key stakeholders for sales analysis, market trends, pre and post cannibalization impact and other projects requested by management. This function acts as the analytical point of contact to provide insights and support sales budget decision making at the channel level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Update, monitor and report on key performance indicators (forecast accuracy and bias) identifying areas of opportunity and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement
  • Track and report cannibalization of sales from new stores/competitors to aid in budgeting
  • Build strong partnerships with Districts Managers to assist in the budgeting process
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to gather forecast inputs from across the business, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, and seasonal volume to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Lead monthly consensus forecast review meeting with cross functional partners to discuss changes to assumptions or statistical baselines and align on recommended 3-6 month demand plan
  • Update Monthly Labor Planning software (Dayforce) with monthly sales budgets to aid in Labor planning
  • Capture list of Risks and Opportunities that accompany the consensus demand plan, manage with the cross functional team to ensure they are kept in balance
  • Develop an analytical framework to identify key business KPIs that can be understood by non-technical users. Develop and implement statistical models in company’s data platform and visualize outputs in Tableau to drive visibility.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales forecasting, demand planning, and/or financial accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • Strong skills in excel, SQL and Tableau; working experience in Python/R is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
