Job Description:

The Regional Training Partner works to inspire and invest in people, maintain our high operational standards, and fuel growth. They effectively partner and consult with the RVP to diagnose their region’s training needs and create tailored strategic plans to provide the training necessary for each Shack to thrive. They build and foster strong relationships with their ADs and GMs to help drive effective Manager Training, Hourly Training, and product and process rollouts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Regional Training meetings each quarter to discuss key initiatives, training plans, and calibrate on current standards. Diagnose and Strategize to Improve Upon Company-Wide Goals- In partnership with the RVP and AD, identify specific operational and training opportunities in the region and create strategic training plans to address and solve them. This may include organizing trainers and deploying re-training and calibration sessions in collaboration with Area Training & Development Managers.
  • Partner with NSO Team to ensure the bench of Opening Trainers in the region is full and aligned with the demands of the development schedule.
  • Partner with Regional People Partner, Regional Recruiting Partner, and Learning & Talent team to tailor the plan to the Shack’s individual needs. This could mean working hands-on with ADs, GMs, and/or Managers in the Shacks or making an impact remotely (or a combination of both). Once delivered, measure and report in on the successes and areas of opportunity of the strategic training plans and continue to monitor and evolve.
  • Drive Rollouts and Regional Training Initiatives- Collaborate with ADs and GMs to drive LTO rollouts, updates to Shack Standards, and launch new training initiatives.
  • Analyze the results of Manager Training in the region and provide feedback to the Instructional Design and Learning & Talent teams. Train our Managers to lead strong New Hire Orientations, to foster an environment of learning in their Shack, and to consistently endorse the Shacksperience. Work closely with Director of Field Training to ensure consistency in approach across the regions.
  • Lead Management and Hourly Operational Training Regionally- Ensure our MIT program is being properly executed in each Shack in the region. In partnership with the AD and GM- coach and guide Managers through the program.
  • Work with the RVP and AD to assist with succession plans for each Shack and ensure Managers are receiving the ongoing training they need- including MIT Leader’s Guide, STEER, TDM, and Core Competency training.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 4+ years Management experience in the hospitality industry
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team
  • 2+ years of experience leading training in a multi-unit hospitality environment
  • 1+ years Shake Shack Exempt Manager experience
  • Available to work weekends as needed
