Subway Apply – Engr, Azure Cloud

Job Description:

This position is responsible for net new Azure builds and the re-configuration of existing systems to shift from the IaaS model to PaaS/SaaS where appropriate. This engineer will need related experience in building out systems on Cloud platform from on-premise virtual machine technologies and will be working with a team of engineers and admins that make up the Level 3 Infrastructure support tier. The role will also require developing scripts to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations, drive identity and access and configuration management and monitoring strategy for Azure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Propose, develop and support automation solutions for new system deployments
• Perform routine upgrades and enhancements on backup and disaster recovery systems
• Build and maintain automations and scripts to support and advance Cloud Infrastructure
• HADR solutions including ASR
• Other project work related to Cloud Infrastructure builds and integrations across business units
• Maintain internal and customer facing cloud services (serverless and container-based)
• Build, establish, configure and migrate systems and services based in Azure Cloud for a well-managed enterprise environment in Azure
• DR and Backup environment build and/or maintenance experience (ASR)

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency with PowerShell, Python or other scripting languages
• 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments including IaaS and Paas
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Certification equivalent (Microsoft Azure Cert)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Cloud Systems in Azure
