Job Description:

The Program Manager is accountable for the success of all projects under their supervision ($5M+) and works closely with the Pillar portfolio lead to align project scope to product vision and roadmap. This position has primary responsibility for planning, executing, and delivering all projects on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. There is significant interaction required with Pillar leads due to the scope and/or complexity of the projects that are managed. This position will typically oversee several large complex projects, or fewer projects which are significant in scope/size. May have project or program resources reporting directly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with Portfolio Managers through Intake and Project Approval including developing budget, business case development, scoping, value, and benefits
• Review and aggregate multiple Project Budgets and/or create Program Budget and then manage to budget taking full accountability for submitting change requests if there are cost overruns and ensuring stakeholders aware of upcoming overruns
• Prepare roadmap and oversee feature backlog based on business requests and priorities. Create and maintain project plans in alignment with Subway’s SDLC standards regardless of Project Methodology; engages in all aspects of Project
• Management including risk management, scope management, stakeholder management, budget management, create and update Program Roadmaps
• Maintain all program and project reporting, drive program/project governance to ensure alignment at all levels of the organization. Deliver executive reports on-time within desired cadence ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
• Develop and share best practices around project and program management practices; actively work to support and promote PMO standards; support Sr. Program Manager(s) Dir PMO with the delivery of excellence
• Participate in and/or lead appropriate team meetings including executive level governance meetings, sprint planning, scrum meetings, etc. ensure stakeholders and teams are informed of progress and that teams maintain velocity/throughout to meet intended delivery timelines with quality
• Coach & mentor other Project/Product Managers, Scrum Masters and Analysts

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrates accountability, ownership, and follow-through
• Significant experience leading teams and projects
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal, written and visual communicator. Aptitude for communicating effectively at all levels
• Exhibits strategic thinking at all times
• Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
• PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe certification
• Advanced competency using all PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• Very good at managing interpersonal relationships within team and departmental scope
