Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead feature/capability strategy for software defined vehicle systems and monitor technology trends.
  • Technology transfer ITL research to advanced development or valuable business contribution to the company.
  • Define research goals & tasks to architect, build and oversee ITL connected car cloud (CCC) framework.
  • Regularly champion research and present/influence to VP and GVP level and show technology domain expertise.
  • Mentoring and training junior researchers in group/department wide.
  • Define research goals & tasks for software defined vehicle/edge computing technology.
  • Establish research collaborations with leading experts in universities and industry consortiums.
  • Obtain patents and publish research in prestigious journals and conferences.
  • Define research goals for identifying appropriate edge/cloud use-cases & PoC with HW & SW integration.

Job Requirements:

  • Research experience with edge computing, digital twin, cyber-physical systems, IoT, etc.
  • Experience in developing architectures for automotive information technology systems
  • Experience with advanced AI/ML techniques, distributed cloud systems & architecture
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to respond professionally in all types of situations
  • Cloud Architect Certification preferred with experience with cloud environment like AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Hands on working experience with AWS cloud services, MQTT protocol, ML and IoT tools, 5G
  • Managed research projects, e.g., planning, reporting, and managing time / team / outside collaborators
  • Experience with systems engineering concepts – systems requirements definition, analysis, assurance
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Hands-on prototyping and programming knowledge (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Rust, etc.).
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
  • Experience with building cloud/edge framework with on-device and off-device compute for IoT
