Job Description:

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has an exciting opportunity for SAP Functional Analyst – Finance & BPC. This position will report to the Manager, SAP Services and Support – Information Services. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to liaise between Business Units and Information Services, supporting the business in projects, enhancements, requirements, process improvements and problem resolutions, while maintaining a high-level of delivering quality deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate acceptance tests to ensure quality of deliverables, adherence to business expectation and timely delivery of business solutions
• Work with business units’ users to identify improvement opportunities, plan medium and long-term enhancements and assist users in determining priorities
• Understand business applications and how they are used by our business users including: processes, enhancement opportunities, interfaces to/from other systems, overall architecture and deployment framework to improve business user experience and leverage SAP investment.
• Foster a positive, open learning environment where ideas and suggestions become a source of continuous process improvement
• Interact with other member of Information Services to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution review process
• Ensure solutions are developed, integrated, and properly maintained within TCI’s S4/HANA landscape, and in accordance with company standards and established architecture guidelines
• Interface with vendors to understand roadmap for specific products, support enhancements and new project, coordinate upgrades and maintenance releases
• Monitor TCI’s project and enhancement demands, request resources for initiatives and manage business request priorities
• Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle including requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, configuration, development, testing and support
• Gather functional and technical requirements for enhancements, incident, and problem resolution
• Provide application expertise and support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and business functions
• Take initiative to recommend processes improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
• Subject matter expert for SAP Finance and BPC including business processes refinement, incident and problem management, enhancement definition and implementation in SAP S4/HANA
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to improve collaboration and overall alignment
• Collaborate with local and regional I.S. teams to deliver enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business needs
• Write business requirement documents and document functional specifications. Adjust documentation style / template depending on delivery approach e.g. Waterfall (Requirements Documents), Agile (User Stories)

Job Requirements:

• SAP certification preferred
• Results oriented mindset
• Hands-on experience in Agile projects is considered an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Work experience in SAP Finance modules and BPC
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
• Experience with SAC (SAP Analytic Cloud) will be an asset
• University Degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline
• Working knowledge on integration – MM (Material Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), WM (Warehouse Management) and non-SAP interfaces
• Experience partnering with outsourced vendors
• Working experience with BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) and IBP (Integrated Business Planning), BI (Business Intelligence)/ BW (Business Warehouse)
• Sound knowledge in GL (General Ledger)/AR (Account Receivable)/AP (Account Payable)/COPA (Cost Centre and Profit Centre Accounting)/Fix Assets
• 4-7 years of experience in a FA/BA/BSA or similar roles in an SAP environment
• Strong process improvement orientation, and experience in leading discussions to drive positive results amongst inter-disciplinary groups
• Hands-on experience in technical solution design, software specifications, conceptualization and development
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, good judgment and effective decision-making
