Job Description:

Toyota’s Data and Analytics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Data Analytics Consultant.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop data models/structures, insights, and data pipelines. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline developer and data wrangler who enjoys finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms/transformations to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Data Delivery, the person in this role will support the Data and Analytics department’s objective to enable data-driven decision making in our journey towards creating mobility for all.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support and expert advice to businesses including data preparation for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Perform data profiling and recommend data quality rules to improve the business confidence in data and drive use case success.
• Recommend and implement solutions to improve data quality, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and recency.
• Ensure consistency of process and usage and champion best practices in data management.
• Analyze and develop intuitive insights from the data to aid business analytics and quicker adoption.
• Design and develop data pipelines and transformations (ELT, ETL) from a variety of sources.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient with Data tools for wrangling, profiling, testing, and implementing quality rules.
• Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc) for developing reports and dashboards.
• 6 or more years of experience working in Data Warehouse and Data Lake development.
• Hands-on experience working on Cloud-Based technologies (AWS/GCP), a variety of RDBMS, No-SQL, and Graph databases.
• Proven experience researching new data sources and building dashboards for executive management.
• Data Analyst certifications.
• Automotive experience.
• AWS/GCP Data Engineering certifications.
• 8 or more years of hands-on experience in database design, data modeling, data pipeline development (ELT/ETL).
• 8 or more years of technical experience writing complex SQL queries and programming in Java/Scala-Spark, Python.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 8 or more years of data engineering experience with demonstrated ability to design and develop data products.
