Toyota’s Social Innovation Division is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Program Coordinator.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead programs that support workforce readiness and Toyota USA Foundation.
Reporting to the Toyota USA Foundation and Workforce Readiness Manager, the person in this role will support Social Innovation’s vision, Limitless Possibilities for All and its mission, to expand access to opportunities and create a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion to strengthen communities and our business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to nurture and sustain Social Innovation’s vision and mission. Challenge the status quo and imagine what is possible and understand business or operational constraints. Identify and solve problems.
  • Manage a portfolio of Toyota USA Foundation grants that support STEM education across the country. Manage includes sourcing, vetting, recommending potential grantees, nurturing current grantee partnerships, providing internal/external updates to executives and stakeholders, tracking actual versus planned outcomes, and developing and/or running the meetings of the board of directors of Toyota USA Foundation.
  • Administrative tasks related to Toyota USA Foundation or workforce readiness corporate grants including, but not limited to, processing applications, payments, reviewing communication pieces (e.g., press releases, etc.), processing reporting of outcomes in an online tool, creating communications pieces (e.g., presentations, strategy documents, charts, graphs, infographics, and other visualizations that describe our work and tell our story,) responding to internal/external inquiries or requests for philanthropic support, etc.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from various sources, for example, census data, workforce data, student data, economic development data, focus group data, survey data, financial data, market data, and other third-party data. Recommend a strategy that is informed by data that is aligned to desired outcomes.
  • Manage a portfolio of workforce readiness projects, for example, people with disabilities, internships, capacity-building with a local high school, and a national multi-generational literacy program. Manage includes sourcing, vetting, recommending potential grantees, nurturing current grantee partnerships, providing internal/external updates to executives and stakeholders, tracking actual versus planned outcomes, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Certified Nonprofit Professional or other.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Project management skills.
  • Bachelor´s degree (or higher), or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant Corporate Social Responsibility or nonprofit experience.
