U Haul Application – Hookup & Towing Validation Specialist

Job Description:

U-Haul is looking for a detail-oriented individual to work in the Hookup/Towing validation team. This towing validation specialist must be very proficient in Excel and have a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics. If this sounds like you, consider joining the Hookup/Towing validation team! **This position is in-office at our Mid Town Phoenix campus and is not eligible for remote work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide a forum for integration of key U-Haul functions to resolve issues and consideration of factors, which affect daily hook-up issues
• Ensure that logic and rules for equipment matching provide maximum customer benefit while maintaining safety and regulatory requirements as major elements
• Continue development and maintenance of a comprehensive vehicle database with focus on attributes required for proper matching of customer vehicles to U-Haul rental equipment
• Leverage existing resources to support the hook-up process
• Develop and maintain an approval process with change tracking
• Provide a forward-looking vision of future issues and trends, which may affect the hook-up process and the requirements and specifications of our equipment

Job Requirements:

• The ideal candidate must have a technical background with thorough knowledge of vehicle and automotive trends as well as U-Haul equipment attributes.
• The ability to find and leverage outside resources for continuing accuracy and utility of vehicle databases is primary.
• A Mechanical Engineering degree is beneficial
