Job Description: Univision is seeking a talented Technical Director based in Miami, FL, for fast-paced shows. Job Responsibilities: Build and organize switcher effects, transitions, and specialty wipes. Collaborate closely with producers and production staff in the preparation of rundowns and coordination of graphics. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Work with Engineering to ensure that all equipment is operating properly. Apply technical expertise to resolve technical issues that arise in the control room and studio. Operate Grass Valley Kayenne production switcher. Perform other duties as assigned. Crew leader who works with technical and production staff to satisfy production needs for live and taped shows under the supervision of Show Director & Operations management. Manage and lead the technical crew during shift. Job Requirements: Must be willing to work from office in Miami, FL Employment/education will be verified Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours Qualification & Experience: Ability to travel as required Must have a working knowledge of control room workflows and an understanding of basic audio, graphics, and server playouts. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Television Production, Communications, or related field. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems and knowledge of iNEWS and Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidates must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to workdays, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidates may be required to work on-site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane. Minimum of 2 years of experience as Technical Director of live shows.
