Job Description:
- Univision is seeking a talented Teleprompter Operator based in Miami, Florida to operate a Teleprompter.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and inspect teleprompter hardware including monitor and reflective glass prior to broadcast
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Connect, set up and strike portable teleprompter units in remote applications
- Check closed captioning of recorded or live broadcast if necessary
- Operate teleprompter by loading and running the script while following the talent
Job Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
- As this position supports a 24×7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.
- Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane
- Must be willing to work from facility in Miami, Florida
- Employment/education will be verified
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Qualification & Experience:
- Associates Degree in Television Production or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
- 1-2 years of experience with live studio broadcast
- Comfortable with all aspects of the production
- Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
