Job Description:

UPS Cartage Services Inc. is currently seeking a Regional Hub/Dispatch Associate I to track and trace customer information and provide problem resolution. If you’re looking for an exciting career opportunity, we want to hear from you!

The ideal Regional Hub/Dispatch Associate I will have a minimum of one year customer service experience working in a fast-paced inbound/outbound air freight and cargo environment. He/She will also have strong analytical, oral and written communication, customer service, and time management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cross trains and provides coverage for other Admin II positions as needed
  • Manages data entry and documentation handling for international import shipments
  • Records inbound and outbound equipment and monitors scheduled versus actual equipment types
  • Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return
  • Investigates overdue vehicles
  • Issues keys, record sheets and credentials to drivers
  • Coordinates local pickups and or deliveries, as well as airline drops and recoveries
  • Monitors activities for service orders and updates reports
  • Creates and maintains customer status reports, and upgrades service levels and/or modes of transportation as requested by customer

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Basic understanding of transportation and dispatch processes
  • General administrative skills
  • General knowledge of DOT Hours of Service – Preferred
  • Proficient key entry skills and thorough knowledge of HUB warehouse volume flow
  • Multitasker with ability to work in a team environment or independently
