Job Description:
The Network and Voice Engineer will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of the Network & Voice Service. This will include day to day Operational support of the EMEA Network & Voice platforms, project delivery for all regional Infrastructure change projects and mentoring of more junior Team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead day to day technical support of network operations in a highly regulated investment banking environment using diagnostic and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems to meet established service level agreements;
- Update control documentation and procedures and provides informal training;
- Provide Engineering level support of the Voice & Network environment within the EMEA region, including: Cisco and Speakerbus voice (VoIP) environments; Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN; Verba Voice Recording platform; Audio/Video and tele-conferencing environments.
- Accountable for small to medium complexity changes and trouble shooting issues in region.
- Track changes and performance trends and participates in process improvement activities;
- Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and monitors changes to identify risk to production systems.
Job Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of Cisco Networking and Voice technologies including switching, routers, hubs, servers, firewalls, Wireless , Sonus / SIP trunking and Trader Voice regulated recording environments
- Demonstrated Network & Voice Service Delivery Management experience, across Internal and outsourced Service providers, within a global Investment Banking organisation
- Solid service improvement experience including the design and management of KPI / SLAs
- Knowledge of typical large organization infrastructure technologies, policies and practices.
- This is an on-site role requiring the person to be in on-premises (in our business office or data centres) during working hours.
- Some International travel may be required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, up to C-Level executives
- Strong knowledge in ITIL Service Delivery.
- Experience supporting and managing Audio Visual solutions and backend infrastructure (desirable)
- Experience managing Market data and exchange connectivity experience would be an advantage.
- Able to direct workload activities and mentor engineering staff within the team
- Solid project planning and management experience.
