Job Description: We are looking to recruit a Legal Advisor into our Sunderland plant. This is fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work within an in-house function, with the ability to work autonomously and cover a broad subject matter. This role will support the Legal Manager and the business on legal and regulatory issues relating to the manufacturing of Nissan’s products at local level as well as providing support on UK, European and global projects. Job Responsibilities: To work closely with other members of the legal team as well as stakeholders from business divisions such as Purchasing, Engineering, Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance, Customs, HR, IT/IS departments and senior management To draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts relating to the Sunderland Plant, which may include:◦Grant offer letters and consortium agreements To assist the Legal Manager with ongoing work and responsibilities relating to the Sunderland Plant To manage autonomously the provision of timely and high-quality legal advice across a wide range of subjects to the business Job Requirements: Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills Good project management, conflict management skills Enthusiasm and willingness to continuously learn and improve Ability to work in an international environment with exposure to diverse backgrounds and cultures Language skills welcome – fluency in English (written and spoken) essential Resilience and ability to work under pressure IT Skills – Standard Microsoft office packages Formal/Professional Education – A qualified solicitor/barrister in the UK with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience either private practice or in-house (at least some in-house experience is highly preferable) Must be able to prioritise tasks Minimum Education Required – 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree Capacity to manage high workload Ability to balance customer expectations and commercial demands against any legal and regulatory risks Experience and qualities◦The ability to draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts and the confidence to work autonomously are essential Flexibility to work in a changing environment Job Details: Company: Nissan Motor Corporation Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Sunderland, England, UK Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
