Job Description: The Manager of North America Accounting is a position that requires a strong team player who can partner across the organization to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly financial closes for the U.S. & Canadian entities. This individual will lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, which includes providing expertise and guidance to the Accounting team, training and development of team members and supporting routine requests from other areas on the organization. The individual must ensure that the Company's accounting policies are accurately and consistently applied and are in accordance Company policies and IFRS. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of all U.S and Canadian entities with an emphasis on ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger. Support ongoing system upgrades, enhancements and maintenance of financial systems (general ledger and support systems) and related reporting. Liaison with Tiffany & Co's international locations regarding intercompany accounts and recurring accounting matters. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and special projects across geographies and departments to further enhance the control environment, create efficiencies or simplify processes. Review account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts. Ensure internal controls are implemented and operating effectively in accordance with the Company’s internal controls framework. Coordinate the month end financial closing process: produce monthly analysis detailing variances from plan and prior year. Qualification & Experience: Experience in Retail Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or related major Certified Public Accountant Demonstrated leadership and strong supervisory skills Proficient in MS Office Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Smartview Experience in JD Edwards general ledger application At least 7 years of public and/or private accounting or related experience Job Details: Company: Tiffany & Co.
