Job Description:
American Cruise Lines is seeking Qualified Members of the Engineering Department – Engine Room Attendants for our growing fleet sailing unique itineraries along inland and coastal waterways of the East Coast, Pacific Northwest, Columbia-Snake Rivers and Mississippi-Ohio-Cumberland Rivers. Our U.S. flag ships are state-of-the art designed for safe operation and five-star service to 100-200 guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive hourly inspections of machinery and engineering spaces
- Administrative documentation of machinery, equipment, and systems
- Safety and Security of the passengers, crew and vessel
- Safe operation of machinery, equipment, and systems adhering to company and regulatory standards
- Teamwork with Hotel Officers and Service Crew ensuring five-star guest service
- Assist Deck Crew with vessel docking, maintenance, and logistics
- Periodic repair and supervision of contractor repairs to machinery, equipment, and systems
- Meticulous daily maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and systems
- Typical March-November Season 4-6 weeks on : 2-3 weeks off
Job Requirements:
- Desired:U.S. Coast Guard QMED endorsement
- Required: TWIC Transportation Worker Identification Credential
- Self-disciplined work habits and personal grooming
- Pre-employment drug test and continual participation in random testing
- Mechanical-Electrical experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, 480V electrical systems
- Good communication skills and team skills
