Job Description:

American Cruise Lines is seeking Qualified Members of the Engineering Department – Engine Room Attendants for our growing fleet sailing unique itineraries along inland and coastal waterways of the East Coast, Pacific Northwest, Columbia-Snake Rivers and Mississippi-Ohio-Cumberland Rivers. Our U.S. flag ships are state-of-the art designed for safe operation and five-star service to 100-200 guests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive hourly inspections of machinery and engineering spaces
  • Administrative documentation of machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Safety and Security of the passengers, crew and vessel
  • Safe operation of machinery, equipment, and systems adhering to company and regulatory standards
  • Teamwork with Hotel Officers and Service Crew ensuring five-star guest service
  • Assist Deck Crew with vessel docking, maintenance, and logistics
  • Periodic repair and supervision of contractor repairs to machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Meticulous daily maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Typical March-November Season 4-6 weeks on : 2-3 weeks off

Job Requirements:

  • Desired:U.S. Coast Guard QMED endorsement
  • Required: TWIC Transportation Worker Identification Credential
  • Self-disciplined work habits and personal grooming
  • Pre-employment drug test and continual participation in random testing
  • Mechanical-Electrical experience with diesel machinery, hydraulics, 480V electrical systems
  • Good communication skills and team skills
