Job Description:
At Asda, our colleagues make the difference. We are looking for an exceptional HR business partner and people leader for the ALS (Asda Logistics Services) network. Reporting to the Senior Director – People, you will have overall accountability for leading the delivery of the corporate people plan across the division of depots, through robust Talent, Engagement & Change plans.
As a key people leader, you will be guiding and supporting our HR Business Partners and amazing depot teams to deliver HR through the line and our strategic business plan.
A highly credible business partner to Senior Directors covering Food and Non-food distribution and fulfilment centres. You will support our ALS vision to “serve our customers better than anyone else” by being the most compliant in the industry and fulfilling 99.99% of orders accurately with a cost to serve of less than 3%. All delivered through the most engaged team in Asda.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create an environment of trust by being inclusive, bringing your whole self to work and empowering your colleagues to do the same
- Coach the HRBPs and depot leadership teams to drive ‘through the line’ people accountability
- Be the custodian of people policy and legal compliance
- Drive learning and encourage teams to take developmental opportunities
- Lead a team of HRBPs; within a specific geographic region with circa 19 FTE
- Drive colleague engagement across colleague experience touch points by working with Senior Directors to develop a plan that builds advocacy, starts with ‘why’, connects and makes it real
- Role model our ‘Leading Asda’ leadership values and challenge depot leadership teams to do the same
- Partner our Senior Directors (Food and Non-food) to create a people plan that is aligned to the corporate strategy, builds a high-performance culture, enables the delivery of KRAs, develops a talent pipeline and satisfies short term and long-term strategic workforce plans
- Work proactively and champion the change agenda by working with the GMB representative and MNCV bodies
Qualification & Experience:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to influence and gain collaboration
- The ability to utilise MI to drive performance related decision making
- Commercial acumen and analytical skills
- An understanding of IR Relationships
- An understanding of current and emerging HR trends
- Internal communications experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment legislation
