Reporting to the Global Head of Employee Relations, the Employee Relations Manager is accountable for creating and sustaining strong and positive employee relations . Working closely with trade unions and employee representatives, the ER Manager will support consultations and support people initiatives to ensure our teams are engaged and motivated to deliver for our customers.
Employee Relations cuts across all departments within the business and our ER Managers work collaboratively across all business departments ensuring the development and delivery of Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) strategies, leading ER/IR projects that support both corporate and local business plans and manage relationships with key trade union representatives and officials.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and proactively manages potential employee or industrial relations risks
  • Identifies opportunities to improve business performance
  • Working closely with the Global Head of Employee Relations and ER Managers, leads the development and implementation of the employee and industrial relations vision, associated strategies and plans
  • Defines and delivers any change associated with the business plan
  • Keeping up to date on employment law, regulatory change and developments with regards to the best ways of working in ER
  • Develops and manages relationships with key trade union representatives within BA and with external trade unions and employee representatives
  • Create policies and agreements which are simple
  • Leads employee and industrial relations projects that support the People strategy and business plan
