Job Description:

Data Protection is crucial for BT’s stakeholders, being a typical area of focus for customers and employees, as well as relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities. As part of our Data Privacy Obligations and Compliance Team, you’ll be taking on the unique responsibility of managing second line compliance of data protection regulatory obligations and compliance which inform our key stakeholders, including:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as data protection incident escalation point including out of hours and maintenance of on call rota
  • Operating a process for data protection breach investigation and notification to the ICO
  • Manage all external correspondence received via the Group DPO on their behalf
  • Statutory responsibility and liaison with the DMA for investigation and responding to the TPS, CTPS and MPS complaints
  • Review and manage second line compliance of data protection regulatory obligations
  • Ensuring delivery against those standards across all CFUs, MVNO’s and brands
  • Accountable for delivery of DSAR and other individual rights across all CFUs (including employees)
  • Accountable for assessment and reporting of data incidents and breaches to regulators
  • Create and maintain company-wide online training courses

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in trend analysis and delivering improvement
  • Data protection input to incident management
  • Data protection qualification CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT – Desirable
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR 2003 and 2011 and ICO guidance
  • Stakeholder and team management experience
