You will work within the Digital Product Delivery team. This is a critical and high-profile function within our Technology group providing thought leadership on digital excellence which now serves for over 94% of our orders. The platforms that you will help design, develop, and enhance take over £1.3bn each year, clocking 1,000 pizzas every minute and topping 100m pizzas each year. It’s no wonder we are the ‘digital giant that happens to sell pizza’.

This role of Delivery Lead will be working closely with wider teams to plan, manage and deliver a portfolio of world class solutions using in-house and Partner teams to ensure our customers always enjoy an excellent experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan and own the output of one or more cross-functional Agile software development teams operating to metric-driven KPIs.
  • Plan and manage the release of deliverables into production.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate against delivery risks and analyse the impact of change to define and discuss options with the Business or IT stakeholders.
  • Provide an assurance role, ensuring all delivery activities and deliverables (in-house and external outsourced) are produced to a high quality, consistent with standards, policies and strategies, and work with Product Owners and development team to drive speedy issue resolution.
  • Use open and honest communication to provide visibility and data driven status reporting at Portfolio, Programme and Team level.
  • Work with stakeholders to continuously ensure a prioritised backlog of enhancements, features and defects are readily available to constantly feed the development team.
  • Collaborate and influence stakeholders and dependant teams, to specify clear and lean requirements and remove delivery blockers.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work with the Business on prioritisation and resolving conflicting demands.
  • Experience of risk management, assessing the impact of change and providing options to Business teams to minimise delivery disruption.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple Agile software development workstreams without compromising on quality.
  • Proven team leadership of technical delivery teams comprising a range of cross-functional roles.
  • Proficient in release planning and management of deliverables to live systems.
  • Experience of matrix-management across dependent teams to ensure a consistency of approach and efficient, frictionless delivery.
  • Tracking and working to KPIs such as demand health, consistent velocity, deployment statistics, etc.
  • A broad and deep understanding of delivering a range of initiatives, specifically large or complex Digital initiatives using Agile methodologies.
