Job Description:
- The Compliance Monitoring team is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals responsible for developing and implementing the Compliance Monitoring strategy to achieve an integrated approach to compliance monitoring across the entire easyJet entity, including Group Operation Services (GOS) and easyJet Certificated Organisations in the UK, EU and CH.
- The Compliance Officer reports to the Compliance Monitoring Manager (Performance & Standards) and is primarily responsible for the delivery of audits, inspections and assessments within our Compliance Monitoring programme to ensure we meet all applicable regulatory & business requirements (i.e. ICAO, EASA, IATA and Competent Authorities). The role has wider responsibilities across all Compliance Monitoring activities to ensure we continuously improve our Compliance Monitoring System and wider Integrated Management System.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as team focal point for any assigned projects, work streams or processes.
- Maintain competency by continually updating sound knowledge of regulatory framework and the desire to undertake continuous self-development in order to be a respected and knowledgeable team member
- Collaborate with wider Safety, Security and Compliance team to support effective delivery of our risk based
- Compliance Monitoring Programmed
- Ensure all assigned Compliance Monitoring activities are accurately documented and recorded in accordance with our
- Knowledge Management System and any associated regulatory requirements
- Support and contribute to the development of our Safety, Security and Compliance strategic objectives and associated Integrated Management System
- Contribute to the development of Training material for Compliance monitoring processes and procedures
- Ensure all assigned Compliance Monitoring activities are effectively planned, conducted and completed within agreed timescales
- Support and educate key stakeholders in completion of effective root cause analysis and associated corrective / preventive actions (i.e. compliance finding responses)
- Coordinate and perform assigned aircraft leasing activities (i.e. meetings, assessments and investigations) including production of associated periodic reports
- Perform assigned Compliance Monitoring activities (i.e. audits, inspections & assessments) in support of our risk based Compliance Monitoring Programmed
- Perform any assigned administrative tasks in support of Compliance Monitoring activities
- Proactively research and collect intelligence to support and contribute towards Compliance Risk Assessments
- Monitor relevant Compliance systems (i.e. Risk net, Safety Net, Competent Authority and EASA data bases) to ensure timely completion of group inbox
- Perform relevant Management System interface activities in collaboration with internal & external key stakeholders to support development of our Compliance Risk Register
Qualification & Experience:
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret detailed regulatory information.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Experience in engineering and maintenance is essential.
- Ability to travel across the network to conduct audit and Compliance monitoring activities.
- EASA Ops training through recognised EASA/JAAT/CAA courses or equivalent (desirable).
- Understanding of Compliance Monitoring, Safety Management systems and Integrated Management Systems.
- Experience in any number of these areas is desirable: airline flight operations, cabin or ground operations, risk and safety management.
- Experience within an aviation operations compliance monitoring management environment (desirable).
- Have the necessary interpersonal skills to communicate with people from different cultures, and at all levels from front line personnel to AOC Accountable Managers.
- A background in Health and Safety with knowledge of ISO 45001 and NEBOSH (desirable).
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and internet browsers and communication.
- A background in: Quality, Quality Control, Quality Assurance; Quality Manager qualification; Lead Auditor Training; ISO 9001 standard training or equivalent.
