Job Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area, experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and manage joining techniques, materials, and technologies
  • Apply knowledge of joining technology, equipment controllers, and equipment design and evaluation techniques
  • Execute and verify joining processes and procedures
  • Implement the joining certification strategy
  • Understand and guide in the joining strategy development process
  • Implement joining control plans and requirements
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
  • Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tools, 6 panel, etc.
  • Manage and direct statistical process control activities
  • Leverage knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis and variable data analysis
  • Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
  • Support expedited concern resolution with multi-functional teams including the Quality Dept., Production and Suppliers

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ yearof Welding or Joining experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Advanced Degree in an Engineering field
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and/or PowerPoint
  • Previous automotive, weld/joining engineering, and quality analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
