Job Description: As a member of the Investment Operations team at General Motors Asset Management (GMAM), you will work collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams to provide a fresh prospective and deliver business, digital and analytics transformation. You will be tasked with leading multiple investment projects to streamline and modernize functions, which requires a strategic thinker with a passion for asset management. Additionally, you will be responsible for middle and back office support as well as supporting key investment initiatives. This position will have direct access to both Operations and Investment leadership teams and partner with controllers, IT, enterprise risk management, legal, and compliance teams, as well as external investment managers, trustees, custodians, and administrators. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the vendor management of external service providers Support investment teams in operational management of assets across fixed income, equities, real estate, private equity, and hedge funds Support and maintain internal/external metrics to help monitor operational activities Process investment activity including account maintenance, cash/asset transfers and instructions to custodian bank/administrator Process, analyze, and review investment data related to operations, risk, attribution, and other key analytics/metrics Create, update and review cash flows across all clients and legal entities as well as review of administrator calculated NAV estimates Lead steady pipeline of investment and operational initiatives by serving as primary project manager, tracking deliverables and progress, and escalating items when appropriate Recommend and lead process improvement projects implement automation and pension management best practices with a strong focus on controls Job Requirements: Strong organizational and project management skills & ability to meet changing priorities/deadlines Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to succinctly synthesize data, develop recommendations, and create and present materials Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline; Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, etc. Demonstrate ability to identify/implement efficiency and process improvements Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment Experience in business intelligence and analytics, data visualization, and/or process optimization; PowerBI, Tableau, or other analytics tools is a plus Ability to drive work independently and manage multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity simultaneously; comfort in dealing with ambiguity Strong understanding of business risk issues and internal control environment Exceptional Excel skills (strong data analysis and VBA a plus) with strong attention to detail Minimum 3 years of experience in investment management or investment operations, corporate role, treasury, or with a management consulting or asset management firm Job Details: Company: General Motors Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: New York, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
