Job Description:

The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for supporting our compensation strategy and practices, including job evaluations, incentive processing, total rewards survey participation, compliance and data analysis and management. This role will be key in providing an overview and support on all company compensation programs and initiatives for all H&M Group brands and business functions in the US to ensure compliance, internal equity and external competitiveness. This role will be responsible to work cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Sales/Area/Business Functions HRs and finance teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs regular audits and analysis of employee compensation to ensure regulatory compliance and internal equity across positions
  • Completes regular Minimum Wage analysis and monthly employee audits
  • Supports in wage recommendations based on internal and external data
  • Assists in the annual merit cycle process
  • First point of contact for any store level bonus or merit increase discrepancies
  • Lead various compensation related projects on an as needed basis
  • Completes RFP’s for any compensation system or vendor as needed
  • Maintains store information updated in compliance software regarding Labor Poster, Minimum Wage and Paid Leave
  • Ensures timely wage reporting to all federal/state government agencies
  • Serves as system super user for the bonus system and responsible for partnering with Assistant Compensation Manager to ensure STAR meets Compensation needs
  • Oversight of all bonus processing and payments
  • Responsible for cycle set up, pay out generation, quality control and distribution to payroll of all STI plans including clothing allowance for all brands
  • Communicates with bonus system vendor to ensure system meets business needs
  • Maintains bonus payment cost overview
  • Completes annual systems testing for updates in the bonus system

  • Flexible to travel between our NJ and NYC Support Offices when needed; minimal domestic travel for meetings/conferences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or related discipline required or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years business experience in an analytical position; experience in a compensation environment highly desired
  • Understanding of FLSA regulations and experience evaluating jobs preferred
  • Previous experience designing or planning STI and LTI programs highly desired
  • Previous experience in Pay Equity analysis highly desired
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to visualize and analyze data is required
  • Strong proficiency in working with large amounts of data and presenting results
