Job Description:
As a Cross-Functional Lead, you’ll lead a team and perform supervisory responsibilities, such as directing work for a team, and training and developing Partners, while maintaining a total team mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Trains Partners; directs work; addresses complaints; resolves issues; builds / follows up on plans and their execution
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in absence of Leader
- Uses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge and experience to meet customer needs and build department sales
- Performs Cross Functional duties frequently
- Properly operates and maintains all equipment
- Answers customer questions regarding products; assists them with selections
- May assist with work schedules for department
- Provides / coaches on superior customer service
- Ensures compliance with departmental / Store SOPs for food safety and sanitation; ensures compliance with receiving-related guidelines / SOPs
- Complies with Store and department SOPs, H-E-B policies, and applicable laws; ensures Partners comply as well
Job Requirements:
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Ability to work independently; a strong eye for detail
- Verbal / written communication and reading skills
- Combination of equivalent education / training
- An associate degree or a year of related experience / training
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments
- Strong knowledge of departments, including quality standards, set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or
- Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine)
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to Partners and customers
- 6+ months of related experience and / or training, or
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
