Job Description: The below descriptions reflect potential environments and duties within our various Electrical Engineering Co-op/ Intern positions that we offer. Work environments and projects may include but are not limited to: Job Responsibilities: Learning and understanding plant power infrastructure Supporting the creation of drawings Learning and performing vehicle testing Determining equipment electrical hardware, software (PLC, HMI, etc.), safety requirements and appropriate design Updating and documenting CAD drawings of existing infrastructure Focus on equipment, process, quality and new model activities related to the department of placement (i.e Assembly department, Weld department, Paint department, Stamping department, Casting and Machining department, etc) Project management Updating mechanical engineering specifications and standards Attending meetings and working with various design/ test groups, suppliers, manufacturing groups, etc. Testing procedures and fixtures Designing manufacturing equipment and tooling in 2D and 3D CAD systems Analyzing and designing existing sanitation, HVAC and building pressure systems Supporting the development of testing automotive electrical systems (infotainment, chassis, engine, power window, sunroof, power tailgate, powerslide door systems and safety systems) Assisting design engineers in developing/ designing automotive electrical wire harness and components of future models Managing a schedule and tracking daily processes Cost and weight calculations Investigating and providing countermeasures for mass production design related issues Designing modifications of existing facilities infrastructures CAD Design New model development, drawing, layouts and design change requests Conducting tests for chassis, brakes, controls, bonnet, trunk and/ or door systems Reviewing electrical drawings Developing short and long-term solutions to problems found Job Requirements: Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript) Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Electrical Engineering or related field General Engineering Coursework Ability to provide own transportation to and from work each day Job Details: Company: Honda Motor Company, Inc.
