Job Description:

Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) installs, integrates, and maintains the systems that keep facilities safe, secure, comfortable, productive, and energy-efficient. You will work with critical building management, HVAC, and security systems with the opportunity to work on a range of commercial and government buildings, health care facilities, airports, and other commercial sector customers. In this role, you will help support the design, engineering, configuration, implementation, and commissioning of Information Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure (Server, Storage, Network, Virtual Platforms), Enterprise Applications, and ELV Integration for our customers.
We’re seeking a Senior ICT Network Engineer to join our growing ICT and Cyber Security Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice using current technical knowledge as to the procurement, configuration and implementation of the underlying architecture and technologies for new Honeywell led systems, with the aim of ensuring security, supportability, expandability, and flexibility
  Utilize Honeywell qualified standard builds for Physical and Virtual platforms to support Honeywell products and services.
• Engineer secure designs using the best of breed technology integrating Honeywell building control systems as well as solutions from partners.
• Key technology components include Virtualization, Storage, and Network Architectures
• Provide design verification and review before district procurement of ICT hardware or software
• Evaluate project implementations, report on performance against goals and contract deliverables, and recommend further actions as appropriate.
• Research and continued education of all relevant developments and innovations in the IT field, cybersecurity, and best-practice methodologies
• Protect the integrity of the Honeywell implemented software, server, and network infrastructure and services by incorporating security controls that manage access; monitoring global ICT security news and technological developments; and acting on these using vendor advice and current technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with project leads and external project representatives to ensure design aligns with requirements.
• Partner with vendors to identify new products and technologies to enhance Honeywell’s offerings.
• Provide a high level of technical expertise to support the delivery of project packages and the maintenance of existing complex system installations at client sites.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in performing security audits or assessments, design, implementation, and hardening networks.
• Significant experience with computer networking design and best practices (switch, routing, access control) LAN and wireless networking principles and protocols including Ethernet, switches, routers TCP/IP, VLAN, and Firewalls
• Certification and/or Training in relevant ICT industry technologies such as MCSA/MCSE (Microsoft), VCP (VMware), CA (Citrix), CCNA (Cisco), or similar
• Knowledge of appropriate security industry regulations and standards such as ISA-99/ISA-62443 and ISO/IEC 27001. IEC 62443
• Government Clearance as required
• Extensive experience in networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and enterprise applications, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Building management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative and creative solutions in a complex multiple system environments.
• Post-Secondary education
• 5 or more years experience in an IT Systems or Network Design or Engineering position
• Experience in the capabilities and configuration of cybersecurity controls and solutions (e.g. identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, application security, IDS/IPS, SIEM, data analytics, security and/or risk management) is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in organizing and directing work activities according to priorities, and meeting deadlines involving multiple systems projects and vendors.
• Valid G2 Driver’s license
• Bachelor’s degree highly valued
