Job Description: Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As the Satellite Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer, you will be part of a team tasked with implementation of a Satellite Integrated Attitude and Orbital Control System (AOCS) for a constellation of satellites. The Integrated AOCS consists of vehicle sensors (e.g. Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Rate Gyros, Magnetometers, GPS, etc.) On-Board Computers, actuators (e.g. Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Torque Rods, etc.) and associated software. Job Responsibilities: Execute and support customer requirement analysis, synthesis and derivation Execute and support Identification of algorithms and approaches for AOCS Fault Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) and AOCS Mode management Execute satellite performance analysis Interface with software supplier for implementation Support proposals, costing and planning of projects Creation and support of product simulation for internal products Execute verification of Integrated AOCS vehicle control in simulated environment Support verification of Integrated AOCS vehicle control in hardware test environment The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance. Job Requirements: Passion to develop solutions and trouble shoot problems. Developing software and hardware for space and similar harsh environments. Electrical hardware and test equipment design, build and test experience Experience with system simulation software for spacecraft environments SAP or similar business software TeamCenter or similar PDM experience Experience working both independently and as part of a team in a hands-on role with a specialty in vehicle attitude and orbital control development. Experience with Matlab, Simulink, C++, Experience with software coding and debugging with Linux and/or Python Experience with NASA, ECSS, CSA and/or NewSpace satellite verification and validation standards Technical degree 5 - 7 years’ experience in an assembly, integration and test role within Space or other Hi-Rel industry Energetic, self-motivated and highly organized. Experience with electrical design, industrial design, clean room work.
