Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a HSE Apprentice to join our Marketing team in Hatch Pond House. This is a Technical and Professional Apprenticeships offer those aged over 16 paid employment combined with the opportunity to train for jobs at senior supervisory and management level all designed to deliver a training package around a minimum standard of competence defined by employers through SSCs. There are four different levels of Apprenticeship in Scotland: Modern Apprenticeships at SCQF 5 (SVQ 2) and SCQF 6/7 (SVQ 3), Technical Apprenticeships at SCQF 8/9 (SVQ 4) and Professional Apprenticeships at SCQF 10 (SVQ 5).

Job Responsibilities:

• Creates presentations
• Report generation
• Understands HSE&F standards
• Drives Standard work
• Performs variety of admin task
• Facilitates HSE&F meetings
• Composes meeting notes
• Updates HSE&F processes
• Ensures compliance standards

Job Requirements:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Use innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
• Understanding of HSE&F analytics
• Use of independent judgment
• Qualification based on current National Occupational Standards at SCQF level 8 and above
• Career Skills (known as core skills for Frameworks at SCQF Levels 5, 6 and 7)
• SVQ 4 Occupational Health & Safety Practice at SCQF Level 9, 108 credit points, GK52 24
• A relevant SVQ (or alternative competency based qualification), HN Qualification, Professional Qualification or other
• Working knowledge of basic computer skills
• Ability to prioritize task

• Market specific training and on-going personal development
• Industry specific training
