Job Description:
Join the Sourcing Transition castings workstream as a Principal Castings Engineer. Collaborate cross-functionally to oversee and direct new supplier development of Honeywell designed castings in a variety of alloys and casting technologies. Develop deep knowledge of supplier capabilities and help them to succeed. Interface weekly with several foundries to resolve quality, property, inspection, process and casting simulation problems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process optimization and improvement
- Travel to casting foundries to audit their process and to perform process walks.
- Strong partnership with cross-functions within Integrated Supply Chain
- Work with Honeywell casting suppliers develop parts, teaming with cross functional HON team to execute supplier transition projects working with global teams
- Own and deliver technical deliverables related to castings process and tooling development
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Materials Science
- 10+ years’ experience in castings development in a broad range of technologies and alloys
- Due to export laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or protected status
- Significant knowledge of both sand and investment castings
- Supply Chain experience
- Global company working experience
- Strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills
- Lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others
- Master’s Degree
- Six Sigma or Lean certification
- Significant knowledge of equiax, directionally solidified, and single crystal technologies
