Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build knowledge of the applications in order to support the global business locations and ensure production stability.
• Supporting and developing two applications within Global Custody area of Security services and working with the existing teams in UK and Pune.
• Supporting and developing the FundStream application which is an in-house developed application (was previously a vendor application) and developed in C#, .NET, ASP and ASP.NET. This application provides transaction workflow for Fund of Funds portfolios and is used in various locations but mainly in Europe. This application is looking to move to cloud as part of the service sustainability programme later next year.
• Collaborates with both IT and business teams to support the applications.
• Collaborate with the development, support and business operation teams for enhancements to the applications or for mandatory changes to ensure all locations meet the regulatory requirements in order to operate within Global Markets.
• Support automation for testing and deployment of the applications.
• Cover 24×7 on-call support for the applications on a rota basis.
• Supporting Crest Systems which provide STP for settlement of transactions within UK and Irish Markets. Various security service applications use the CREST applications and MQ to process settlements which is a time critical system with set cut off times to ensure transactions are processed to the correct markets within the SLAs.
• Ensuring that the implemented services meets the design and necessary functional and non-functional requirements, transition into the live environments is fully documented as required.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Security Services and Swift Alliance access for CREST is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communications and analysis skills is essential.
• Experience of working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of full development life cycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and support.
• Experienced .NET developer with C#, .net, ASP and ASP.net
• Knowledge of MQ desirable
• Positive attitude, self-motivating and proactive
• Proven ability to work with others as part of an established development team or on individual tasks with minimum supervision.
• Experience of Windows server 2012 / 2016 / 2019
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Knowledge of SQL, SQL server, XML, html, CSS and Javascript essential
• Experience of IBM Rational Team Concert and Jenkins or similar source code control would be desirable.
• Ability to work in Global Development team and different time zones
