Business Banking Technology is a part of Wholesale IT Digital. We are responsible for all UK based SME and business banking channel developments encompassing Web, Mobile and Open Banking for 3 propositions – Digital Business Banking, HSBC Kinetic and Corporate Cards Mobile.
Digital and Business Banking technology are growth areas within the bank. We are undergoing technical transformation that will expose the role to both on-prem and GCP/cloud based infrastructure engineering, in addition to market-leading business propositions. Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure maintenance / Evergreening (Google Cloud and on-premise)
- Migration to cloud
- Growing DevOps strategy and capability across development teams
- Environments management and maintenance
- Architecture & Engineering community collaboration and liaison
- Enabling distributed system usage for API-as-a-Service and other globalised functions
- Convergence of business banking infrastructure
- Infrastructure transformation and modernisation
- First point of contact and relationship management with ITID and other platform and Infrastructure partners (internal and external)
- Pipeline integration and automation strategy and execution
- Tier Zero compliance
- Define / manage strategy and execution for end-state infrastructure
- Educating and managing teams on infrastructure and Deployments
Job Requirements:
- Subject matter expertise in environment delivery
- 2+ years experience of workload migration and Infrastructure provisioning between (on-prem) and Google Cloud Platform
- Broad understanding and experience of architecture and design
- 5+ years engineering experience (infrastructure build/development/deployment)
- 3+ years in technical leadership position
- Deep understanding and experience of DevOps in a complex technical environment
