Job Description:

The Senior Affiliate Marketing Manager is developing and driving the affiliate marketing search strategy across Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB), ensuring that there is consistency in how we manage affiliate partners and the respective affiliate marketing content. The role will work closely with wider teams, including in-house and external agency teams, product and journey teams, to create and drive a holistic approach to performance marketing, with affiliate marketing as a key component. This role will be critical for driving acquisition and engagement through affiliates, improving collaboration with other digital acquisition disciplines and improving the return on marketing investment across our markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops a global creative library of assets for affiliate marketing activity, supporting local stakeholder to localise, implement and optimise in their market
  • Set benchmarks and build new capabilities for the marketing community to leverage e.g., how to achieve maximum impact across affiliate marketing, leveraging technical best practices
  • Support regions and markets to track and optimise their affiliate marketing performance, including through the creation of playbooks to set guardrails on how to acquire customers and promoting a test and learn culture
  • Develop and drive the affiliate marketing strategy across WPB
  • Support with the management of affiliate partners
  • Collaborate with other digital acquisition disciplines across the Performance Marketing team to drive a cohesive and effective global strategy across Pay-Per-Click (PPC), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media, PR programs and sponsorship / events
  • Maximise the effectiveness of our marketing spending and the return on marketing investment
  • Work closely with in house agency team, product and journey teams, external design agency, media planning agencies and strategic partners to deploy self-serve capabilities to enable markets optimise their ROI in search, social and affiliate mkt

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated sound business judgment and timely decision making against a backdrop of conflicting strategic priorities
  • Strong experience of leading large scale initiatives across affiliate marketing, including agency management, campaign ideation, planning and delivery
  • Experience of creating a test and learn culture, with a focus on using a data-led approach to consistently optimise Good understanding of retail banking and wealth management product across jurisdictions
  • Extensive understanding of affiliate marketing with demonstrable experience of driving value through social media campaigns, PPC, audience targeting etc.
  • Culturally sensitivity and appreciation of HSBC’s global values and international nature.
  • Strong understanding of best in class activities across affiliate marketing
  • Extensive understanding and experience of working with acquisition channels and relevant MarTech environment to drive digital marketing funnel optimisation
  • Demonstrated success in building, selling and executing on global strategies with an improvement in return on marketing investment
