Job Description: Assists the C-Store Manager in setting the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability. Presents the best quality product at a competitive retail price to the customers. Job Responsibilities: Counts the cash drawers and maintains cash accountability records. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store. Escorting them to the products they're looking for. Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. Acts on issues when the fuel station manager is absent. Loading or unloading heavy items. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines. Making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests. Fills displays and works in the sales area. Performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience. Securing products that are out of reach. Performs departmental duties as needed. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required. Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
