Job Description:
The AOG Controller reports to the Supervisor AOG and works with Maintenance Control to provide materiel support for daily aircraft operations. The Controller coordinates logistics and purchasing of items to minimize the amount of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) time. The AOG Controller will assist with the support of purchasing, Loans & Borrows, and material logistics for critical items throughout the system to recover an OOS aircraft
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform receiving inspection drop shipment process accordingly
- Support Maintenance Control in the handling of requisitions related to critical materiel needs of the operation, including the purchase of materiel or services as required
- Tracks requisitions and updates the M&E system accordingly
- Execute transactions for Purchases, Loans & Borrows in compliance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as required
- Research parts for interchangeability and higher assembly
- Recovery of parts after and OOS events with focus on the hazmat shipping process as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Oversee and move critical materiel and tooling through logistics and transportation management
- Procurement of materials in an expedited basis through vendors on the AVL and 121 carriers in accordance the GMM & FARs
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Currently in possession of a valid passport or equivalent travel documents to travel freely in and out of all JetBlue destinations
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Aviation discipline
- Two (2) years’ experience working in an aircraft maintenance or materials environment
- Two (2) years commercial aviation experience in materiel operations
- Valid Receiving Inspection Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date
- Working knowledge of inventory management
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standards
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Valid Hazmat Certified or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date
