Job Description:
The European Regional Category Manager reports into the European Category Lead within the Procurement function and is responsible for the management of various categories across the food & pack and indirect spend.
This is a strategic role owning the commercial relationship for all suppliers. price negotiation; performance to contract; risk management; corporate governance. The role is ultimately responsible for creating and executing the category strategy that delivers the short and long-term goals of the 6 European Business Units, following the TPWY (Taking people with you) principle to manage a complex matrix of internal and external relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Protect the brand through robust supplier chain assurance, risk management and continuity planning
- Lead best in class cost of goods (COGS) to help support brand growth
- Create value through creating and executing margin improvement projects
- Drive supplier performance
- Build supply chains to support out long term growth and deliver against our sustainability and brand reputation agenda
- Responsible for mitigating annual inflation and improving franchise margin through the execution of category strategy, negotiation and margin improvement projects
- Collaborate with the Head of Supplier QA to Develop the Category Strategy.
- Own and Implement strategic and tactical procurement actions as set out in category strategy including spend smarter and risk management strategy for the category.
- Own the E2E performance management of suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply, right first-time quality and contractual compliance.
