Job Description:
The SOAR team is an integral part of our rapidly growing Assurance and Accounting Advisory (AAA) practice in the UK. We deliver a comprehensive range of assurance reports that our clients demand. In the UK we issue over 150 assurance reports a year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, both on and off engagements (e.g. setting goals and appraising performance), and contributing to practice management (e.g. training and knowledge sharing).
- Maintaining a healthy pipeline of assurance reporting opportunities.
- Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, particularly in the wider Audit, IT Audit and Assurance practices.
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Participating and contributing towards the growth of our practice through assurance tenders and pitches.
- Taking responsibility for the overall engagement output including scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, quality, and review of deliverables.
- Taking responsibility for a portfolio of assurance clients and delivering controls assurance services to this portfolio to time, budget, and quality.
- Ensuring quality of deliverables to the highest standards and in compliance with regulatory benchmarks.
- Working with Partners and Directors in delivering a variety of service assurance reports.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT audit, technology risk and control / audit or assurance environment within professional services.
- Ability to motivate and lead small teams and work on own initiative
- Ability to identify and assess complex IT and operations risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly.
- An enthusiasm, drive, and passion for service assurance.
- Proficient at creating and delivering captivating presentations to audiences comprising senior leadership, key client stakeholders, prospects and/or internal staff.
- Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients.
- Strong project management skills including being able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously, to manage teams effectively, and to deliver engagements on time and to budget.
- Experience in core business processes within a financial services environment.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
