Job Description:

The Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) services HR Business Partner (HRBP) works with the ESG Leadership Team and Council to design, develop and execute on strategic talent priorities for ESG across the country. As an ‘HR Account Manager’ for ESG, the HRBP will work collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence, Geographic HRBPs and HR Consultants to deliver talent initiatives that will meet these objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the continued development and implementation of the ESG Talent Strategy (Attract, Develop & Retain).
  • Defines and implements foundational and structural elements for ESG Talent, including areas such as compensation, learning and development, career paths, performance metrics.
  • Collaborates with recruiting function to develop strategies, campaigns, supports and sourcing approaches in support of recruitment efforts for ESG talent.
  • Drives change management within the ESG practice on talent related matters; solicits stakeholder buy-in, works through resistance, and facilitates change.
  • Provide both industry and market best practices and offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related talent strategy.
  • Is an active contributing member of the ESG Council; assists the leadership team in understanding the people implications of their business strategies, initiatives, and decisions.
  • Is an active contributing member of the HR Leadership Team; plays a contributory role in the development, design and execution of functional and/or Firm-wide strategic talent.
  • Supports leaders in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Identifies opportunities to embed diversity and inclusion in processes and programs.

Job Requirements:

  • CHRP or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to build relationships quickly with stakeholders and has the executive presence to influence at leadership & executive levels.
  • Deep skill set in understanding and interpreting business issues and requirements, building rapport, inquiry, listening and diagnosis, summarizing, seeking agreement, influencing, and obtaining agreement and commitment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and can easily react and adjust to market changes.
  • A self-starter, who brings timely and relevant insights to the leadership table.
  • Extensive experience across HR including reward principles, performance management principles, career development, learning and organizational development and assessment.
  • A strategic thinker with strong analysis, presentation, and communication skills.
  • 8+ years of HR work experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner/HR Consultant role.
  • 5+ years of professional services experience.
