Job Description:

The role sits within our Regulatory and Control Transformation Capability working with Clients to deliver regulatory change as well as strengthen their internal governance and controls environment. The capability focuses on delivering more than pure compliance and positions regulation and control at the centre of business transformation to drive operating efficiency and effectiveness.

Successful candidates should have excellent Banking Industry experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of Regulatory Reporting processes, Regulatory implementation programmes and Financial Control Frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, and form teams to support, the development of initiatives that grow and promote the practice internally and externally
  • Assist with goal development and coaching of staff to enable the growth of the junior management team within the FS FT practice
  • Leading the pursuit of business development opportunities around as UK SOX and the Regulatory change agenda
  • Mobilising and leading major and complex regulatory and/or SOX projects/programmes
  • Support the development of junior team members through formal training as well as informal coaching & mentoring
  • Perform a lead role in forming internally generated solutions and training that are developed by the Regulatory & Controls Transformation capability
  • Building and leveraging both internal and external relationships to support Partners and Directors in driving business development and sales activities
  • Ability to manage cross-functional global engagement teams, both internally within KPMG, and external Client teams
  • Leading development of technology enabled Client solutions and propositions

Job Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of the Finance function and Finance operating models
  • Strong people manager who can lead large teams and develop/coach others
  • Programme and project management experience
  • Ability to review and challenge information that has been provided by other team members, ensuring the information is ‘fit for purpose’ and at the right level of granularity
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working on Client sales team and developing strong Client relationships
  • Ability to create and deliver high level presentations and output reviews to senior executives/stakeholders and business managers
  • Experience of analysis Strategic and business drivers of Financial Services
  • Accountancy qualification with strong post qualification experience or equivalent experience (optional)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
