Job Description:
The AP Analyst is a self-motivated individual with a passion for process improvement, internal control, and P&L protection executed through the Shared Services functions. The business analyst is responsible for ensuring streamlined and efficient management of multiple shared service functions within the guidelines of Krispy Kreme’s internal controls. The analyst is expected to thrive in a high-performing and ever evolving environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze various AP reports to accurately forecast payable liabilities assisting with financial planning
- Use technical abilities/knowledge to create macros, automations or Access solutions to manual processes
- Standardize and document AP workflows
- Report to SMT the P&L loss mitigated by compliance adherence
- Effectively communicate gaps in the policy and recommend updates
- Assist with month-end closing, including account reconciliation, reserve calculations, accruals and month end reporting
- Build cross-functional partnerships to drive resolution of habitual late invoice submission/approvals
- Present data to highlight offenders of the current policy
- Resolve issues with vendor master file to ensure no interruption with payment
- Review vendors and provide analysis of large cash drivers to assist business partners with terms changes
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Identify gaps in processes and controls that put payables at risk
- Provide analysis to ensure expenses are submitted timely and accurately
- Influence others to create streamlined processes while adhering to internal controls
- Identify opportunities with vendors/internal customers and effectively partner to drive change
- Complete quarterly and annual review/presentation of YOY performance
- Audit expense reports to evaluate adherence to KKDC T&E policy
- Identify areas where technology or process leaning will create efficiencies
Job Requirements:
- Microsoft Office power user
- Understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Ability to apply judgment and make thoughtful decisions
- Experience with Oracle, or other comparable ERP
- Attention to detail
- Minimum 2 –4 years finance responsibility required
