Job Description:
The Electro-mechanical Technician performs both mechanical and electrical maintenance duties including: hydraulics, instrumentation, as well as troubleshooting, replacing, repairing, and cleaning systems, equipment, and/or component parts utilizing industry standards for precision maintenance. Also, you will operate, remove, install, repair and test electromechanical equipment and/or controls on rides, animation, attractions and buildings. Perform other maintenance functions within the theme park and assist other maintenance personnel as needed by maintenance supervision. Work on complex American and foreign made equipment, rides and animation.
Job Responsibilities:
- 5% Participation in safety programs, TPM teams, and PM optimization
- Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints and technical documentation.
- Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM, NEC, state, and local electrical codes, and loss prevention guidelines.
- Follows established maintenance program, including any emergency repairs as required to keep down time to an acceptable minimum in all areas of attractions and facilities.
- Maintains control systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Siemens LOGO Soft, Omron, etc.
- 10% Special projects and/or equipment improvements
- Inspections include: daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventative maintenance on American and foreign made rides.
- 20% of time spent performing electrical and controls troubleshooting and repairs as necessary to support continued operation of the theme park including but not limited to: instrumentation, controls, motors, VFD’s, PLC’s, HMI’s and basic electrical work.
- Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable control and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoots Electrical Control Systems and understands sensor technology. Possessing the knowledge of testing equipment and having the ability to operate digital/analog circuitry, volt/amp meter, and chart recorder up to 480v
- 65% of time spent performing inspections, preventative maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Must supply all hand tools up to 1 inch which are needed to meet the requirements of the above job description.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens and VFD’s including Mitsubishi, Danfoss, and Allen-Bradley drives is preffered.
- Extensive knowledge in preventive maintenance systems is required.
- Basic skill in reading a micrometer and caliber is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing of electromechanical equipment as a journeyman/technician and/or prior experience in an automated/production facility is preferred
- Considerable knowledge of the practices, tools, and equipment used to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rides and other electromechanical equipment is required.
- Ability to read and evaluate reports and correspondence.
- Must have thorough knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, such as linear actuators, solenoids, etc.
- Basic knowledge of types and grades of hardware, Torque wrenches and math skills is required.
- Must have a general knowledge of all types of lubricants.
- Possesses thorough understanding of, but not limited to all phases of electromechanical work related to overhaul, repair, and preventive maintenance of all types of ride equipment, animation, utilities theme park, including high volume submersible-and turbine-type water pumps.
