Job Description:

The Digital Fulfilment department is looking to build a more sustainable support team for the future. The last 12 months has seen incredible growth, with more to come and new innovations on the horizon. In order to keep the department moving forward and maximize our growth, we are looking for a Carrier Manager to join our Fulfilment Operations team.

You will be responsible for leading and continuously improving our final mile delivery strategy to support the growth and success of our rapidly expanding operations. Maintaining strong relationships with our carriers is essential to upholding high service and ethical standards to which we, and our customers, hold ourselves to.

You will be joining a committed and flexible team who will tell you no day is the same, and they wouldn’t want it any other way!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the carrier budget, identifying opportunities for improvements and cost savings
  • Forecasting and planning for peak periods
  • Provide strategic direction and innovate our customer delivery offering
  • Ensure compliance with relevant logistic legislation, rules and regulations
  • Provide support and guidance to our network of global fulfilment centres
  • Visits to 3rd parties and partners to ensure compliance with our ethics
  • Own relationships with our carriers and logistic integrations providers
  • Create and communicate performance reports, building on KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Analyse patterns and trends in data to better understand our customers
  • Liaise with the relevant departments to manage customer expectations and service
  • Proficiently negotiate cost and service agreements for existing and new contacts

Job Requirements:

  • Skilled in communication and collaboration
  • Capable of reacting quickly and adapt to changing requirements
  • Experience managing final mile carrier operations for, ideally for a retail business
  • Ability to manage, manipulate and extract data using excel or similar software
  • Competent in negotiating contracts and costs
  • Strategic vision and awareness of innovation in the industry
  • Experience in managing budgets and forecasting
  • Able to self manage and own your personal development
