Job Description: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the administration of the database platforms both across cloud and on-premises. The role holder will be additionally responsible for ensuring the data availability, security and protection from loss and corruption and easy accessibility whenever required. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate on the installation and configuration of new database platforms (SQL, Oracle, Modern Database services like mongoDB, ConsomsDB and others) Setup VMS/ Hardware and deploy operating systems for the database services Responsible for patching and updating the database platform scope as per the best practices Responsible for importing large volumes of data from multiple systems and data warehousing environments (Azure Synapse and IBM Netessa) Monitor Database performance in proactive and reactive mode. Setting metrics to trigger and detect issues in advance Proactively tune database systems based on metrics and usage Migrate databases from on-prem to cloud (Mainly Azure) Asses and refactor databases for movement to cloud-native solutions (whenever applicable) Job Requirements: Solid Experience on HA (SQL Always-on, SQL failover cluster and Replication) Strong Quantitative and Analytical skills Preferably 5 years in closely related industry Ability to engage and collaborate with different stakeholders on key business initiatives Bachelor degree in computer science/ computer engineering Minimum of 3 years in the related discipline Hands-on experience on Linux Administration Experience in PSQL, TSQL.
