Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and dynamic Sous Chef join the world leading hospitality company. Swindon Marriott Hotel has picturesque views over the gardens and tennis courts and a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant, a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, as well as a steam room and sauna. Our modern hotel also offers a pillarless ballroom, an enchanting garden and nine meeting rooms, ideal for everything from social celebrations to corporate meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kitchen management in the day to day running of the kitchen
- Encourage a fun working environment and supporting the team in their training and development
- Follow menu specifications to cook mouth-watering dishes for hungry guests
- Support the kitchen management in maintaining food safety, kitchen cleanliness and food labelling and storage
- Be a role model for the Marriott culture
Job Requirements:
- Enjoys the fast-paced kitchen environment
- Has experience in a similar role
- Is organised and has people management skills
- Is proactive, reliable and can support varying shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- Has NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
- Is a team player and an excellent communicator (verbal, listening, writing)
