Job Responsibilities:

  • To maintain communication and teamwork with all departments.
  • To attend all shift briefs and be prepared with any communication to be handed over.
  • To ensure all guest corridors are kept clean and free of trays, vacuuming all corridors and doing general cleaning.
  • To assist F & B with the allocation of linen i.e. tablecloths.
  • To ensure that company standards are maintained or exceeded.
  • Report any problems to linen supplier
  • To ensure that all store rooms are locked daily.
  • Collecting housekeeping deliveries.
  • To run an efficient linen room.
  • To assist the Public Area Cleaner on request.
  • To assist the Floor Housekeeper in the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest and guest areas.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled in on a daily basis.
  • To ensure that correct procedures of receiving/counting linen are followed, and that accurate records are filled daily.
  • To comply with all Health & Safety procedures in the hotel, reporting any discrepancies in all work areas.
  • To assist the Room Attendants in carrying out their duties.
  • To ensure an ample supply of linen to all maids’ cupboards.
  • Linen stock takes.

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation, e.g. COSHH and Health & Safety.
  • Able to help other departments, should business require it.
  • Speak good English.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Has a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Patience.
  • Flexibility in line with business hours.
