Job Description:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Learning & Development, the Program Manager, Learning & Development, is responsible for guiding training and development strategies for the organization. Key accountabilities include identifying training topics, and facilitating and developing programs in alignment with competencies, critical skills and the needs of the organization. Focus of learning opportunities is on the soft skills and business acumen necessary for success across all employee levels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategy for utilizing online/subscription resources
  • Partner with Talent Development team members to develop the training calendar, instructor schedules and course catalog
  • Develop communication for program rollouts
  • Assist L&D team members with administrative tasks to include LMS administration (course/class uploads, tracking, etc.), training calendar maintenance, Inbox management, etc.
  • Review and manage internal training requests
  • Identify opportunities to build programs internally versus outsourcing with vendor resources
  • Facilitate soft skills training programs and pursue train-the-trainer certifications, as applicable
  • Serve as a training “coach” to assist functional SMEs with course design and classroom facilitation
  • Evaluate program KPIs
  • Proactively collaborate with business leaders, key stakeholders and HR Business Partners to identify core business competencies and related professional development gaps to build curriculum/programs to address these gaps
  • Partner with Talent Development colleagues to leverage resources and align with professional development, leadership development and onboarding strategies
  • Partner with MB Academy to identify training resources that can be leveraged and utilized to support professional development strategies
  • Provide NAFTA support, as applicable
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate appropriate training and development topics/programs based upon the needs of the organization
  • Partner with Talent Development team members to identify core topics in support of MB University
  • Partner with Talent Management to align training curriculum and programs with critical skills and career paths to support talent mobility

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in identifying training needs, facilitation and designing curriculum in a corporate training environment
  • Strong collaboration and consultative skills with leaders, team members and business partners
  • Strong project management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Exhibits an “ownership” mentality, taking full accountability for projects, with ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills in support of the mission, vision and values of MBUSA and the Talent Development team
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities in a results-driven, rapidly changing environment
  • Skilled in creating a strategic framework that integrates the “big picture” with tactical execution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective communicator
  • Strong business acumen including problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration across multiple functions and departments
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design concepts, training methodologies, management practices, training theory, organizational behavior
  • Ability to perform needs assessments and performance gap analyses, develop training objectives, design/develop coursework, facilitate training and monitor post-training evaluations
