Job Description:
The cloud engineer provides SPEEDS (Strategic Planning, Engineering, Execution, Design, Support) for Cloud Infrastructure lifecycle management to support business initiatives. The role will lead the transformation journey to accelerate cloud adoption and put the following skills in good use: excellent communication, complex problem solving, ability to think outside the box, good teamwork, work independently, programming.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop IaC automated solutions which integrate with ServiceNow service catalog
- Develop intelligent solutions to monitor and remediate cloud resource performance and health to meet SLA’s
- Partner with application development, operations, and other various teams to troubleshoot application issues
- Establish and update cloud standards and best practices as it relates to cloud technologies
- Design and support cloud solutions to meet business requirements
- Research, test, certify, and standardize public cloud technologies related to but not limited to networking, application delivery (ADC/proxy), security, performance, availability, and inter-operability
- Assist with cloud strategy planning and roadmap
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python PowerShell, or JavaScript
- Experience with public cloud provider technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with various operating systems such as Windows and Linux, especially from a command line perspective (BASH, PowerShell, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 2 years of related experience OR 5+ years of work experience in related field if no degree
- Highly motivated to learn new technologies
