Job Description:

The IRM Cloud and Application Security team is currently seeking a Risk Management Capability Professional to support I&O Cloud Operations. This role will closely collaborate with Nationwide’s I&O Cloud Operations partners to drive information security results while also supporting internal initiatives within the IRM Cloud and Application Security Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review infrastructure, applications & technologies for adoption of security controls that support compliance requirements (PCI, SOC1, SOC2, FRC, etc.).
  • Perform risk assessments by reviewing existing infrastructure, applications, and technologies for adherence to risk standards, policies and processes.
  • Work with technology partners to provide security/risk expertise as well as guidance on risk processes.
  • Partner with I&O Cloud Operations leadership and individual contributors to be the single point of contact for all information risk management needs.
  • Assist with adoption of new security products, services and processes.
  • Risk mitigation management – Review documented risk, drive response activities (remediation, mitigation & acceptance) and track status in various tracking tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and NIST.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills including proficiency in communications and presentations at the executive level.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous competing priorities.
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and DevOps platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – demonstrated ability to collaborate and create a network of contacts within the organization and cyber security industry.
  • Ability to generate reports & presentations with useful and actionable metrics.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure architectures, application stacks and DevOps patterns.
  • Knowledge and passion for IT security. Must be able to present and represent the value of IT security.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a fast-moving team.
