Job Responsibilities: Preventing spares and tools from being damaged due to poor handling or exposure to the weather. Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment. His allocated area. Implement all safe working practices in all tasks, including proper use of watertight doors, handling of chemical products and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work in marine equipment under control of Chief Repairman. Responsible for assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and valves. Assume personal responsibility for safety and the environment. Be accountable for themselves and the safety of others in their vicinity.
