Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician for the Publix Deli Plant you’ll maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the performance of a wide array of equipment. Our deli plant employs more than 400 associates who produce a variety of fully prepared meats and salads according to Publix’s demanding quality standards. These foods are designed to save time for customers when they are preparing meals. Without our Maintenance Technicians fine-tuning this food manufacturing equipment, the Publix Deli Plant simply couldn't produce the volume and quality of products needed to serve our customers. Our deli kitchen is located in Lakeland, Florida. Job Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment, Creating requisitions to procure parts and supplies, Performing stick, tig, sanitary tig, and mig welding, Fabricating steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components and structures as required to improve the safety, sanitation, and performance of equipment and processes, Assisting with other duties as assigned.
